About Sue Kennedy

Authority Book Strategist

I help established experts strategically develop books that support the work they want to be known for.

Because the strongest books do far more than share information.

They position expertise.
Strengthen authority.
Create opportunities.
And shape how people decide to work with you.

Most Book Problems Are Not Writing Problems.

Over the years, I started noticing a consistent pattern.

Many books were well-written.
Some were even beautifully written.

But strategically, they were disconnected.

The positioning was unclear.
The topic was too broad.
The book didn’t naturally lead anywhere.
And despite the effort behind them, many quietly underperformed.

That observation changed the way I approached this work completely.

Because I realised the issue was rarely the writing itself.

It was the lack of strategic clarity before the writing began.

Most people start by asking:
“How do I write the book?”

But the more important question is:
“What must this book actually do?”

That decision shapes everything that follows.

A Book Should Be Built With Intention.

I believe a book should be treated as a meaningful authority asset, not simply a creative milestone.

The right book can:

  • position you clearly

  • support your business

  • attract aligned opportunities

  • strengthen authority

  • create trust before the first conversation even happens

But this only happens when the book is intentionally developed from the beginning.

That is the work I do.

My Approach

My work begins with strategy first.

Before the writing.
Before publishing.
Before marketing.

Because once the positioning is diluted or the structure is unclear, writing more words rarely solves the problem.

Through Book to Bank™ Fast Track, I help clients define:

  • the role of the book

  • the one topic the book should own

  • positioning and audience

  • chapter architecture

  • strategic pathways into their offers and services

From there, some clients continue into deeper manuscript development, publishing support, and print production support.

Who I Work With

I work with:

  • established entrepreneurs

  • coaches and consultants

  • subject matter experts

  • business owners

  • professionals wanting a strategically positioned book

People who already have experience, expertise, and credibility, and want their book to support the work they want to be known for.

Beyond Strategy

Alongside strategic book work, I also support authors through:

  • publishing support

  • manuscript formatting

  • print production support

  • professional book preparation

Because strategy and production are not separate conversations.

The strongest books are intentionally developed from beginning to end.

A More Personal Note

One of the things I love most about this work is seeing someone finally hold their book in their hands after carrying the idea, message, or story around for so long.

There is something incredibly special about watching a book move from an idea into something real that can impact other people.

I’ve also lived in the Hawkesbury for over 25 years, and community, creativity, and storytelling continue to play a meaningful role in the work I do today, including as co-organiser of the Hawkesbury Writer’s Festival.

Final Thought

Not every book is worth writing.

But the right book, strategically developed and intentionally positioned, can change how people see you, talk about you, and decide to work with you.

That’s where this work begins.
